Trustworthy, dedicated person who came from a large loving and united family where love, compassion and respect were always our main goal between family members. In high school, started vising retirement centers for the elderly and found very pleased to know that they felt comfortable under my care. I Helped every day after school on chores and activities they had in the afternoon. When studying my degree in Guadalajara Mex. worked with a family taking care of their mother, who was in need of my services since she had degenerative muscle problem. I would take her out to do different activities. Here in El Paso TX, I took care of my aunt, who had lost mobility in her legs, I was present every day in all the activities she had when she was already living in a senior community. . My personal achievement came when I took care of my brother, who became ill with cancer ( brain tumor, 4th level) at 38 years of age. It became my goal, to take care of him during the terrible moments of pain that he suffered until he passed away. A month latter I took care of my father, he suffered from depression and dementia, he was also diabetic. I administered his medications daily, and preformed the care he needed every day.
I have always been a people person all of my life. My first jobs were serving the public and then through the military. My heart always seems the happiest when I can care for others and give them the respect they deserve. With this said, I have 7 + years experience giving care to the elderly and really enjoy every minute. The special needs children that I transported back and forth from school will always hold a special plans in my heart. So do the all the seniors that I care for in the past and in the future I'm sure. I am also a personal trainer so I have experience in exercise and stretching where needed. If you are looking for someone with my type of experience. Please consider me. Thank you
I became a caregiver/CNA because I get great joy helping people. I have always as a child, helped people. Even if i couldn't do much I would try my hardest to do all that I could. Becoming a CNA was the best thing and the most accomplished move that I've done in my life. I have 20 years experience as a CNA and I am very observant with my patients and detect when there is a change in their behavior or health. I take my job very seriously and I put my heart in everything that I do for my patients.
I have been working with elderly, children, and individuals who are mentally ill for 4 years; and it has been the most rewarding job I could've ever imagined. Working with a variety of individuals has taught me how to be open to new ideas; everyone learns differently, have their own capabilities, and how to adjust the care I provide to meet their needs. I assure to assist each person but still give them their own of freedom, I will respect their willpower to try to be independent as possible, but will be next to them to help them along the way. The most rewarding thing about being a caregiver has to be helping someone and seeing their progress along the way.
I am an older grateful woman who began this wonderful opportunity late in life. I am upbeat and positive. I want to bring out the best and help a person so that they feel a sense of accomplishment. I believe that I learn more about myself through others and I have had teachers in life from all walks of life.
Being a care giver takes a special kind of person. I believe I am a great care giver as I have the heart and humanity to care for another person that needs assistance in getting by on their everyday lives. I've always been fond of the medical field and while I continue to expand my education I became a care giver to find out for myself what it was like to care for people and feeling rewarded by their gratitude. What I like most is when I bring happiness and the friendship you build with every single person.
I became a caregiver because I love helping people and making a difference in their quality of life. I love everything about being a caregiver, there is no better feeling in the world then being able to help another person. I recently went to school to get my nursing assistant certification and graduated! My husband is military and we just moved to Texas so I'm waiting to take my state board to become certified. I am CPR/BLS certified. I plan on furthering my education to one day become a labor and delivery nurse. I have been a full time caregiver for the last 18 months for my grandmother who suffers from dementia all while going to school and taking care of my kids, so needless to say I'm a pretty good multi tasker!
