Hello! My name is Beth. I am 37 years old & the mother to 2 boys (19 & 7). Throughout my entire life I have been referred to as an "old soul", often relating to & befriending folks over 60. I have always cherished what their generation has to share & what they've given to us. Listening to them recall their past & share advice is honestly the most rewarding bonus about being a caregiver! I have over 14 years of experience, mostly with seniors & working with Dementia/Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, & terminal illness. I assist my clients by providing companionship & help w/ bathing, dressing, meal prep, laundry, house keeping, dishes, meds, appts, shopping, transportation, scheduling, keeping care logs, & any other daily needs. I have experience working w/ the Hoyer lift & wheelchair (both manual & electric). I do my best to get clients up & around, keeping their blood flowing and muscles strong. Being a caregiver is more than a job, it's my true calling. Helping people in need is something that I truly enjoy. I am a mother of two and want the best for my children. That love and compassion carries over into my career. Caregivers are called into very delicate situations and our job is to alleviate stress for clients and their family. A "good" caregiver can truly make a difference in a person's life.

About 5 years ago, I started as a caregiver, for an elderly gentleman and I absolutely loved it. I love being around the elderly and being able to care for them. I love being caregiver because It teaches you so much, and some elderly don't have family left and we are all that they have. My personal achievement would have to be going to CNA school, and becoming one. I would love to peruse a career in this field.

I have been in and out of the medical field, (doctor's office, hospitals, nursing homes, specialists, etc.) And am pleased to announce I have finally found my nitch, home healthcare!! I make a great caregiver because of my current and past experience with Alzheimer's and dementia patients/clients. I was attracted to the caregiver profession because I have always been a Caregiver my entire life. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the smile on my client's face and the bond between our friendships. I am personally proud of my ability to stick to my position as an Alzheimer's and dementia caregiver, when others have quit or done a poor job with people that needed them. I was taught by my grandparents to respect my elders and that my elders are (wiser then thou) with that in mine I go beyond the call of duty to care my clients. If I should ever need care, I hope to be treated with the same care and dignity I treat my clients.

I believe the qualities that make me a great caregiver are patience, compassion and attentiveness. These qualities are essential in assisting a patient at their bedside in their time of need. As stressful it can be for someone who no longer has the physical ability they once had, there needs to be someone who is understanding and empathetic to their desires to ensure comfort. My interest in becoming a caregiver comes from being the one my grandparents call on for help. I strongly believe in giving back to the community and equal effort for all ages of those in stand in the need of care. My enjoyment stems from seeing interacting and seeing my patients smile. I'm proud of the fact that step by step I'm making an impact on my patients as they always ask to see me again. Once I secure the peace of mind in my patients' families hearts and minds, my job is complete.

Eager to help many different people to be sure needs are all met I'm married . Have 3 kids of my own . All grown and graduated . And 2 boy grand babies , my husband works in the oil and gas in the field mostly . We have our own business as well . I do love animals I have few of my own . My oldest animal is a dog and she's 13 years old . Live for my family as well I also help my mother out as needed . I'm hard worker any where I go. Hi! My name is Julie, a mother of 3 grown boys, married and currently a patient care tech at a hospital. I'm currently enrolled in school, hoping to continue on into the nursing program. I take of the elderly at work, I love to sit and talk with them, help them with their needs, and just make them smile. I lost my mom to dementia a few years ago, stepmother to cancer and an older brother to mental health. All these things made me decide to go into health care and help others.

I have been a Private Caregiver for 10+years. I have worked with patients that have had Strokes, Dementia and Alzheimer's. I will bathe, dress, prepare meals, feed, etc... I am currently CPR/First-Aid Certified. I also have been trained to give patients their medication. I will transport patients to/from Doctors appointments, beauty shop, errands, etc....
