I'm a Certified Medical Assistant and a caregiver for more than 9 years already. Having worked in the Medical fields and caregiving jobs gave me the foundations to have the skill set to evolved as an excellent CMA and caregiver to the best I can become. My name is Odell Bestman I've been a care giver for over 15 years and love what I do. I started caring for others at a tender age. During the Civil War in my country I usually went with my mother to the hospital to volunteer as she tended to patients, she always said to me that caring for others and showing compassion for those in need had the greatest reward anyone could gain. So, I guess that's how my passion for caring for others developed. As I grew older I helped my mother care for my grandmother that's when I fully understood the joy of caring for others and that's why I became a care giver. When I provide care for a mother, father, sister, aunt and so on, and that person says thank you or a family member of that person says thanks for all that you do it reminds me of my mother's words "greatest reward " and that's why I do what I do with so much care and compas

I'm an extremely caring person. I have a 31 year old daughter, I am a widow and have a two cats. I have taken care of two disabled adults, two elderly couple that came out of surgery, a woman with Alzheimers and dementia, a gentleman with dementia. I made sure they were bathe, wash clothing, folded clothing, changed feeding tubes, drove them to doctor's appointments, drove them to visit neighbors, made breakfast, lunch, and sometimes dinner. I also would change the bed every other day. I did light cleaning. I consider myself to be attentive, kind and patient. I know that I can be there for someone if they needed a companion, or small duties of which I've already done in the past. I have a vehicle but I'd prefer to use the patient's vehicle for anything we have to go run errands for. I am currently living in Brookshire Texas. I am willing to learn or be trained for something I have not yet assisted with. I do not have a license as nurse but I am CPR Certified. I am willing to work with ages 25 and up. Will not take COVID vaccine. I would not like to work in an environment where there are too many animals or and pitbulls. I hope I can be of assistance.

I listen and follow instructions very carefully. I love providing care to the elderly and I enjoy listening to their stories. Just being there for someone when they need you the most is a blessing. I always try to put a smile on people's faces that is one of the things most proud about, always trying to make someone happy.
