I started my work life in the foster care system about 3 years ago, my heart has always been in it for the people. I quickly learned that God intended me to be somewhere different. I took a part-time position working with disabled adults and have been in this field for going on 2 years. It is my passion and exactly where my heart is at. I enjoy working with the under privledged and less fortunate. I love having the one-to-one connection with each one of my individuals.

Hi, my name is Sophia! I'm a junior in college and am majoring in Nursing. My passion for serving others definitely lead me to this profession, as the relationships I build with others motivate me to make sure they are provided with the most outstanding care. I used to be nurse aide at a nursing home and rehabilitation center and would watch over 20 clients at a time. As a nurse aide, I witnessed the elderly being afraid of being taken advantage of or being neglected. Thus, fostering relationships with my clients were they feel trust and heard is one of my top priorities.

When I started out as a caregiver I looked forward to spending time with people who I knew I could share life with as I served and assisted them with daily living needs. It has been such a rewarding experience as I have been able to do this and gain the rewarding benefit of working for and with people. I enjoy the opportunity to be able to help others with their ADL's that they need assistance with and to see them perform tasks independently when they are able to. My patience, the time I spend with them, and my positive energy are a few of my strengths that also help me to succeed as a strong caregiver. I understand that every person is different and at a different stage or place in life. It is a joy for me to help a client and to share life with the people that I care for.

I have previously cared for elderly clients with age related illnesses such as dementia and Alzheimer's as well as forms of cancer. I do not live-in, but I am located in Buffalo and am willing to travel a 30-50 mile radius. I can provide transport to and from doctor's appointments and keep detailed notes for the client as well as the family. I arrange and organize medications and daily routine charts if necessary, as well as preparing meals, toileting and bathing. I am a former EMT, 911 Dispatcher, and am CPR certified. Hello, I'm Ronae , The reason I'd think I'm a good fit for this job is because ever since I was younger my mom worked with home health care for my grandfather , I've watched her do cna work on a daily, I've always gave her a helping hand. I found joy in taking care of my elderly grandfather , I took the steps very seriously. He made me promise him if this is something I enjoyed & found joy in (The health care field) *Go for it , When I turned 18 I got the job at lampstand nursing & rehabilitation for a nurse assistant , I'm very outspoken, a great Team member , also always open to hear what I can improve myself on, i have 2+ years experience with alzheimer's, dementia , hospice, and younger patients , with my CPR Certification as well ,I did currently stop working at lampstand due to pregnancy & dealing with a toddler.
