In the hospital I work on different units such as mental health, rehabilitation, ICU and med surge units. I have certified nurses assistant and respiratory therapy certificates. I am a self starter who learns quickly. I love to work with the elderly and learn from their life experiences. I am very easy going, understanding, punctual, caring and compassionate. I would love to spend more one on one time with the people I work for. I love having someone feel like I have enriched their family members lives. I became a caregiver because I love the joy and hope I bring in keeping families together and an elderly mom or dad home with the family instead of a nursing home.
I make a great caregiver because of my current and past experience with Alzheimer's and dementia patients/clients. I was attracted to the caregiver profession because I have all been Caregiver my entire life. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the smile on my client's face and the bond between our friendships. I am personally proud of my ability to stick to my position as an Alzheimer's and dementia caregiver, when others have quit or done a poor job with people that needed them. I was taught. by my grandparents to respect my elders and that my elders are (wiser then thou) with that in mine I go beyond the call of duty to care my clients. If I should ever need care, I hope to be treated with the same care and dignity I treat my clients.

That's what care Giving is to me. I am a calm nurturing loving woman. I am a mom and have great faith . I have cared for a few seniors and made a lot of good friends. It is not a job for me it's what I do best.
