Since I was a young girl, whether it be for my loved ones or the underprivileged, I have always had an innate concern for those in need. My inherent compassion for the livelihood challenges of others has developmentally led me to pursue an educational life-long career as a guidance counselor and health-care provider. What I have learned in my experience, when caring for any individual, is that each person's needs are distinct and should not be identified as like any other individual. When an individual is challenged in any capacity, demonstrating you care in getting to know them as a person, their strengths and limitations with personable kindness, compassion, and patience, can make all the difference to the individual and the family members who depend on you as an extension of themselves. Sometimes a simple smile can make a person feel more relaxed and willing to work with you as a caregiver to aid them with their inability of managing their own lives on their own. For over 22 years, I have helped seniors and those with disabilities maintain a healthy and fit lifestyle. I also understand the health care needs of our aging adults. I love the outdoors, fresh air, a nice stroll and picnics. I enjoy board games, cards, bingo and puzzles as well as crafts like painting and beading. I have 4 years of previous practical nursing training from West Technical Educational Center located in South Florida , where I was born and raised. I've have 2 years of caregiver experience. I am currently a Certified Medical Assistsnt as well as a Certified Medication Technician. I have always been passionate about helping others in every way that I can possibly can help. I'm a very empathetic person, and I'm drawn to caregiving because I love helping people. The thing I enjoy about being a caregiver is seeing a smile on a client's face when I've done something to make them feel great. One of the things that I am most proud of is being able to say that I serve my country...it's an honor.
