Hello, my name is Sadie and I believe I'm a great caregiver because I have empathy, the desire to help people, and great communication skills. I wanted to be a caregiver because I love being able to help people and build friendships with them. I took care of my late grandmother before she passed and being able to spend that time with her was so special to me.

I am strong, independent, compassionate, dependable, reliable and trustworthy. I become a caregiver because I as a kid I realized I enjoy taking care of those in need who can't provide the self care they need for the activities of daily living. I enjoy learning new things from different people and knowing that with them in my care they will be happy. A personal achievement I'm proud of is overcoming all of the hard obstacles life has thrown my way.

As a caregiver, I have learned to be patient, listen to their needs and wants, speak softly and clearly, pamper to them. While I was in medical assisting classes, I had a family friend needing care. She was an retired nurse and allowed me to come learn a lot from her. I loved going grocery shopping, getting hair and nails done, I would prepare her medications for the month and make sure she took them on time each day, cleaned her house, and rearranged her furniture and clothes.

Hello my name is Chrystal. I have been working in health care for about 3 years now, I really love what I do! I am very energetic and fun, therefore I like to plan activities with my clients to do fun things. I am able to use lifts as well as lift clients. I have knowledge with medication, as I have been passing meds for clients as long as I have worked on healthcare. I will help clients with everyday needs such as cooking, light cleaning, grocery shopping, etc. I am currently in cosmetology school, so I do like to do makeovers for my clients as long as they are ok with me dolling them up!

I am currently working as a nurse aid at a nursing home. I love working with the residents. The reason I am interested in this is because I like helping people who need a little extra assistance. I am currently in college and my ultimate goal is to be a nurse. I am trying to learn how to work with people and care for them right now.

I enjoy helping others and that is why I chose the medical field. I have never worked as a caregiver in a home setting before, only in the hospital setting but I would love to start. I think working in a home setting gives the caregiver the opportunity to interact more with and become closer to the patient and I think that is something that I would really enjoy. A personal achievement I am proud of is finishing my medical assistant program because I have learned so much and also staying at BSA as long as I have working as a nurse aid because it can be very stressful sometimes but I believe that it has changed me for the better. I've learned how to help others who cannot always help themselves and it has honestly made me stronger as a person. I recently moved back to Amarillo from being stationed at fort Sam Houston in San Antonio Texas where I finished training to become a medic for the us navy and marine corps.
