Hello. My name is Toria Gilewala. I have worked within the healthcare industry for over 15 years as a CNA, Direct Support Professional, and Case Manager. I have a strong passion for helping others, and would describe myself, as an advocate for marginalized populations, ambitious, caring, versatile, and hard-working. I became attracted to caregiving after completing a CNA course and clinical rotation (at a local hospital) during my senior year of high school. This experience had a lasting impact on my life, prompting me to work and pursue college degrees within the healthcare industry. My previous work experience consists of working in home health care, hospital, nursing home, and community health center settings, where patient's individual needs varied. The most enjoyable part of being a caregiver is helping to make a difference in the life of others, from different walks of life. A personal achievement I am most proud of is being awarded Employee of the Year by the ETSU College of Nursing.

I am 20 years old. I graduated from Gate City High School in 2014. I attended Scott County Technical School and took a course to become a CNA. I passed the class but never got my certification for CNA. I am CPR certified. I have a passion for taking care of people! I love being outdoors, crafting, and cooking.

I love the role I play in my patients life as a care giver! I take particular pride in providing care specifically detailed to my patients needs and preferences. Nothing makes me happier than those little moments my patients give me a hug and tell me they are so grateful for me!

I am very dependable out going and enjoy taking care of people fill good at the end of the day knowing I helped someone out .

I became a caregiver first by taking care of my blind grandmother who was also a diabetic. I have set with several seniors,cooked meals ran errands and cleaned their houses. I Aldo have worked in long term care and rehab facilities.

I would be a great caregiver because working with the elderly is my biggest passion. I wanted to become a caregiver because I'm a CNA and wanted to do more private duty work. I enjoy getting to know the people I take care of and being able to brighten their day.

What makes me a great care giver is that I treat my patients with more care and dignity than most. I am 57 and am single with no children so I am able to devote more to my care giving without the interruptions that come with most families. I got in to care giving because I feel the need to repay the elder communities for the life they have provided us. If I am chosen to take care of your parents or any other part of your family it will be done with the utmost dignity and respect that they deserve.

I love getting to know my patients and their family's on a personal level. I have a passion for the elderly and treat everyone as if they are my grandparents. I feel elderly care is such an important job because it is caring for the ones who once took care of us. I take pride in my work!
