I have been a home Care provider on and off from 2011 until now. Never full ti.e because I have been a full time dental assistant from 2002 until now. But I just Care about people's well being from head to toe which most of it started from caring for my family.

Hello, My name is Ashley McGee. I am 28 years olds and I am currently enrolled at ECPI for dental assisting. I have been in the caregiver field for 5 years now including Direct Support Professional and Patient care aide. I have experience in residential home settings, long-term care facilities, assisted living and dementia/Alzheimer's units. I am CPR certified and I am also working towards getting a Mediation Aide certification. I love animals and being outdoors.

I am CPR certified through red cross. Im also a certified PCA (personal care aide). I plan on going back to school to become an RN. Right now i take care of a 97 year old women on thursday, friday, saturday and every other sunday who is pretty healthy she just cant walk so shes either in bed or wheelchair. I have experience changing diapers, hower lift, repositioning, bed bath, medication reminder, helping someone who can somewhat walk use the bathroom and shower. I know how to cook and im 25 so im pretty active. Im available monday, tuesday and wednesday to work. My grandmother had Alzheimer's and I lived with her for 4 years so I have experience. My mother died from colon cancer so I know a lot about cancer first hand from my personal experience with my mother. I feel as though my mother did not get the help she needed just from being in a hospital all the time and when I look back I feel as though if she had that one on one help with someone to really care and take there time with her she would have lived longer which is why I like doing in home caregiving. My sister has muscular dystrophy so she's paralyzed from the chest down so I have experience with that. I have a 3 year old son named Charles and he is my world. I am a very patient and understanding person. My heart goes out to people and it's something that I've never been able to change I'm just very good at putting myself in someone else's shoes. I am very reliable, committed and trustworthy. I'm eager to learn more and always try to do my best. I hope you hire me as I would love to be apart of your family and help you it's the most rewarding job a person could ask for.

I believe that People,sick or old have the right to keep a good life as best as possible. I enjoi to work with Elderly because there is so much to learn from them. I was getting a Caregiver to help Familys to have a life with more comfort and a little less to worry about.

I love being a caregiver, because I love helping people. When I have a patient that smiles and tells me they missed me while I was gone, reassures me that I'm doing exactly what I was put on this earth to do. I'm a mother of two beautiful children, one of which was born with multiple health issues and he is the reason I wanted to become a cna.

I enjoy learning from elders and listening to their stories. I miss my mom a lot so that also helps for me. I'm a kind, caring person. My personal achievement I would say is that I wasn't afraid to move on my own away from my family to another state which is Virginia and been here for 26 years
