Being a single mother of two I did what I had to to raise my girls. Managing a restaurant was hard work and long hours. I didn't start doing what I wanted to until after they had left home. I've always felt a need to help others, even when I couldn't help myself . I'm compassionate , caring, patient, empathetic, and understanding of how certain diseases affect the patient. Not all stroke victims, Alzheimer's or disabled patients are the same. I work with people based on their personality and their specific needs. I was raised to treat people like I want to be treated and that's how I try to live my life

Well I have been doing this for over fifteen years I started when my mom got sick with cancer an we cared for her at home they trained me at the hospital before she came home to suction her she had a traike in her throat an I have a set Autistic twins of my own so I love care for people who can do for them selves it is my passion carrying for other

A great caregiver is someone who is kind, compassionate, and loving by nature. A generous, sensitive spirit can't be taught only given by the Creator Himself. Caregiving found me. The elderly, children, and animals bring joy to my heart. If I can bring a little peace and comfort into the life of another person I feel I've done what the Master called me to do. My career as a caregiver began by working in a nursing home facility over a year ago. I worked with respiratory patients, wound care patients, dementia patients, HIV patients, hospice patients, Alzheimer patients, and handicapped patients who had all of their faculties but because of missing limbs were unable to stay at home. I learned to give very basic to advanced care. While the level of care changed the one thing that remained constant was the need for a kind word. I was often asked to go into a room and communicate with a difficult patient because there was something about my calm voice and gentle nature that turned every tide into smooth sailing. I left the facility because it was heartbreaking. It should have been a place where every worker enjoyed working there. Instead finding someone who enjoyed their work was a rarity. I believe private duty will be much more fulfilling.

I love caring for others and letting them know there in safe hands. PCA certified and CPR certified.

It takes a special person to be a caregiver, you have to like what you do, have respect for the elderly. Provide a personal touch to senior care. I took care of my grandmother and my ex-grand mother before they passed and I worked in a senior living facility for over 8 years and just enjoyed offering them a hand or helping when I could. I enjoyed being there for an elderly person that just need that extra hand someone that going to look out for them and not harm them. I remember telling my grandmother that I want to be a nurse but end up working in health care taking care of the elderly. Not a nurse but doing the same thing taking care of those in need!!

I love people I love help anybody and being a Christian help me treat people the way I would to be treated I'm not perfect but I strive to be the best me by giving and loving people and showing respect no matter what.

As I was training for nursing I landed a job at a rehab center working with Traumatic Brain Injury adults and development infants on vents. Life happens &I had to end my nursing training to work FT to finish raising my children. I became cert as CNA & licensed as EMT. This proved to be a life changing journey into healthcare. Since then, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with folks, all health conditions, live to their best. Safety is important as is taking a 'whole-isitic' approach esp for persons wanting to be in their home. Respectful, friendly, positive, open-minded, reliable & willing to go the extra mile - for a smile! You, your home, your beloved pets & plants are in good hands! 17 years experience to share!
