My name is MacKenzie-Paige Dare Harrison. I am 23 years old and currently a stay at home mother of a four year old. I believe that there is a certain kind of person that has to care for others that are in need. My passion for and love to help others is what i think makes me a great caregiver. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to help others. It was dream or my God given purpose to be a caregiver. I love seeing the smiling faces of people when you interact and get to know them. Knowing that you are sharing the love and compassionate ways of the Lord Jesus Christ is what makes me enjoy being a caregiver. I do it because whoever I am taking care of is my family and I want everyone to be shown the kindness and love that comes with a caregiver that truly cares about the people. It is not about a paycheck to me, it is about restoring the health and well being of others in the most caring and loving way possible that is the payment me. One personal achievement that I am really proud of is never letting the enemy deterring me from what the Lord wants for me and the people around me. I am a certified nurse aide. I have 36 plus years experience in home and out of home.Some nursing home experience . I have done hospice care . I have CPR certification. I enjoy taking care of people I think it's a gift given to me by God .I work with people well . I put there needs before mine . I take care of them as if they are my own and I treat them as I would want to be treated. My own down fall is I fall in love with them and I cry with them. I laugh with them and when they are gone I grieve for them. I care for them as if they are my family .

I became a CNA because I enjoy helping others and find the work mentally and physically satisfying. I like getting to know the patient and learning about their life, some are quite the character! It is never dull and even with the repetition of routine there is always something different going on. I am proud of the fact I passed my state CNA exam on the first try, most do not so that was quite gratifying. I recently took my state test for medication aide and am now certified in that as well.

I graduated high school in 2008 and received my Certified Nursing assistance license. I became a care giver because I have a passion for helping others and seeing them smile. I am a very outgoing person who is always smiling. I have a 14 month old daughter who is my world, so you can say i have lots of patients. I treat all of my clients as if they were family. I give them lots of respect and help them in any way that they may need. I do not treat them as if they were babies because most of them have lived a much longer life than I have. In my six years of experience I have worked with stroke patients, Alzheimer, dementia, g-tubes, mental disorders, fall risk patients, and more.

I have been a registered CNA/GNA since April of 2018. Taking care of others is simple for me something that comes easily and from the heart. I started doing this line of work to help better peoples lives. I worked closely with 10-12 residents daily working for Genesis Healthcare. I am caring, responsible, reliable, and dedicated to any and everything I do. I give my heart to those I care for. What makes me a good caregiver? Well, I don't get rattled when things "go wrong", I find the next best solution. I follow care plans to a 'T'. If I ever have any questions or concerns they are always documented and confronted. I'm a big sticker for organization and documentation. Like I said, it comes from the heart, and I think that combined with my knowledge and experience is what really matters. My latest TB test was done March 25, 2018 which came back negative. My latest background check, although not done through carelinx, I do have a copy for was done in May of 2018 which also came back negative. I am willing to take drug screenings as I know they will always come back negative however those will not come out of my pocket unless I'm being reimbursed. I understand the want to make sure your loved ones are being taken care of, with me they will be more than well taken care of, that's a guarantee.
