Knowing that my support can help someone feel more confident or independent is what drew me to this field. What I enjoy most is building real connections with the individuals I support. I like learning their personalities, understanding their routines, and finding ways to make their day easier or more enjoyable. I also enjoy seeing progress -- even small steps. Knowing I played a part in helping someone feel comfortable, supported, or more independent makes the work rewarding. I'm proud of how I've been able to balance work, school, and family while still staying committed to my goals. It hasn't always been easy, but I kept pushing myself and stayed focused. That determination has helped me grow personally and professionally, and it's something I carry into my work as a caregiver.
