I am Virginia Board Certified Nursing Assistant with over five years of home health and assisted living care. After raising four children I returned to school and became certified as a Home Health Aid, Nursing Assistant as well as Phlebotomy Tech. I believe that everyone has the right to quality care, and an advocate to ensure they are treated with dignity and respect. Raising four children has taught me that one must always use and implement active listening skills as well as expect the unexpected. My passion for health care comes from years of experience as a mother, wife and caregiver to family and friends.

As a mother, and someone who came from a large family in which caregiving is rooted deep in my culture, I always wanted to take caregiving as a career and improve along that pathway. I like to entertain, converse, and read aloud to keep my patients or resident's alert. I also like to run errands and do weekly grocery shopping for them. In 2015 I started giving care to a couple. The wife pre-deceased the husband whom I continue to take care of. It has been 7 years now and counting, the children of this patient no longer consider me as a caregiver, but a family member because (according to them) of the 5-star care that I give to their dad. This is my personal achievement that I am most proud of in my career as a care giver.

I became a caregiver because thats always been my job and i studied for elderly care. I like this job because i like taking care of others, and trying to make people feel good. A proud acheivement i have is getting my career that helps me make a difference

I think of myself as a kind-hearted and empathetic person. I always offer words of encouragement and comfort to my residents. I want a career that puts a smile on peoples face when I help them do even the littlest of things like helping with their daily routine or even having a conversation or giving them compliments . For me being a caregiver over the years has helped me improve in being able to address and resolve issues quickly and effectively to ensure my residents health and safety is not compromised.

I'm a great caregiver because I love helping people and I like what I do, I like to help people especially the elderly people and anyone who can't do what they used to do for themselves. I help with their ADL. I'm compassionate and I love my profession . I also like to put myself in others position.

Ive always felt that taking care of people was my calling. I love every aspect of it, everyone you meet has a different story to tell so why not have a reason to spend time with them and listen to who they are. When it comes to caregiving there isn't one thing that i could say i like more than the other, simply because I cherish every moment. I am currently Medtech and am looking to work as a live-out CNA or caregiver. I have been caring for seniors for over 6years and I really enjoy it. I have worked professionally ranging from private family cases to nursing homes,assisted living and agencies.The warmth, the love and the little thank yous' are what motivate me. I am very patient.honest, compassionate, understanding and very reliable. I do drive and own a vehicle to aide to the outdoor needs of my patients; going out to places,grocery shopping,doctors appointments and fun activities.
