I have a caring spirit. I want to ensure my "Senior Babies" feel safe, comfortable and most of all loved. They should feel like family. My mother had dementia so I understand the support needs and total dependence on others that ultimately occurs in the late stages of the disease. They need us (caregivers) more than ever and we can't let them down. My personal achievement is raising a set of intelligent twin girls. I believe you have to have a passion and a HUGE heart to take on the role as a caregiver You should treat your client with respect and assist your client and ADLS and complete the duties required from you as a caregiver. I was inspired to become a caregiver because I have my own personal experience as a caregiver for my grandmother until she passed away. It was not a easy job but it was a blessing be able to care for my grandmother before she passed. It showed me that you can help others who need a caregiver. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is support my client getting to know my client making my client happy, laugh and talk and caring for my client the best way I can. I am proud to have the opportunity to work in both the mental health population which has taught me to learn patience and the health care population which has taught me to care for people even stronger and have understanding and patience.

I'm a great caregiver because i enjoy working with people i like to talk and enjoy helping out my purpose for becoming a caregiver i did this for my sister from 2003 to 2011 when she passed and i just continue because i grew to love the people i work for
