Hello, my name is Iesha. I'm a happy person with a great personality and people tend to take a liking to me. I got into care giving when I was 19 years old, a teenager. When my mother and grandmother got sick, I took care of them at home until they passed away. I'm a patient, compassionate, caring person and I like helping people. I'm proud to say I've been care giving for 20 years now and I love it.

I have been a care giver on and off since my senior year in high school which totals 34 years. I love being a caregiver and the rewarding benefit of seeing the individuals improve. I am very compassionate and treat everyone like my family. I became a caregiver because of the rewarding feel I get from it. I remember working in a nursing facility and the other attendants couldn't get a gentlemen to eat on his own and before I left i had him eating on his own which made me so happy because he was literally on the verge of getting a feeding tube.

As an empathetic and caring person who has cared for a special needs child, I know what it feels like to want your relative to have the best level of comfort care, and attention possible. I became a care giver because my son was a special needs child. I was personally responsible for grooming him, bathing him, feeding him, soothing him during physiotherapy sessions, administering his medication, taking him to his medical appointments, and making sure he was comfortable. This experience made me understand the difficulties experienced by speial needs individuals, and different ways to alleviate these struggles. I have a Diploma in cargiving, and a certificate in CPR AED And First Aid, both from Alison Online. I also have a certificate in The PSW approach to Quality Care ,from Michener Institute of Education, at UHN. I very observant and meticulous in administering care, while still ensuring that the individual still maintains as much independence as they still have.

My growing passion for caring for others started when I was very little. I always took care of my father and was his main caregiver. I am very compassionate and love to put a smile on people's faces and brighten days.
