I became a caregiver and chose this path for myself because I know what it feels like to have no one beside me and also does my grandmother and that's why I have been by her side . Born and raised in Johannesburg South Africa. Graduated my BS Biology (premed) in 2021 from Southern Utah University. I have been caregiving for about 3 years. Caregiving has been a rewarding experience because I get to know clients while making a positive impact in their lives . Fun Fact: outside of my academic life, I run a non profit organisation in 2 countries that deals with healthcare accessibility for women and children in rural areas. I love being a caregiver because l love being in a helping profession. I cared for my grandmother and it was a joy to have been able to care for her. I'm a CNA who has been caring for seniors over the past 14 years in conjunction with other caregivers in their private homes. I assisted with personal care, meals, light housekeeping, medication reminders, maintaining adequate groceries in the house through the family. I engaged in daily activities, including organizing mail, managing appointments, and exercising. I provided daily transferring of the patient from bed to wheelchair, to recliner and walking around the house and assisted with exercise programs. I enjoy working with Seniors so that they can live in their homes as long as possible and so that their family members can have peace of mind.
