I became a caregiver in 2011 I am CPR certified,I have my Nurse Delegation,Dementia &Alzheimer's, Developmental Disabilities speciality training,Mental Health ,Insulin Delegation i have all my certificates of competition. It is my passion to take care of others it has always been my dream job since I was little I wanted to become a nurse, I enjoy working with the clients of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds and have a demonstrated ability to develop great relationship with them and their families. Moreover, I am trustworthy and responsible person who takes great pleasure in all kinds of caregiving tasks. Besides, I am dedicated to work hard and always accept challenges to produce winning outcomes. Over and above, I am an active team player who is able to work effectively with managers and co-workers. I have been in many setting witch includes an adult family home where I cooked,cleaned,bathed,and did medication administrations along with patient adls with 6 residents to myself for 12 hours a day. Ive also worked at rehabilitation facilities,assisted living as a med tech. My favorite thing about what i do is knowing that i play a special part in someone's life who can no longer take of themselves and i get the privilege to do so and having the trust of it being all in my hands. Im very proud of myself for sticking with being a caregiver and getting all the diffrent trainings i have and experience i have gotten from it.

I enjoy the different personalities in each resident and hope they get enjoyment with the time I have with them.

I enjoy helping people and supporting them to live the lives that they want to but are unable to on their own. I am a caring person, a hard worker and I pay close attention to details. I enjoy cooking and preparing meals and general house cleaning. My grandmother was a CNA at a hospital for over 14 years and I always wanted to help people like she did. I have been in the Health Care field for over 14 years , I started out as a CNA and found my way into the ID/DD community and I love it! I am licensed through the State of Oregon/ DHS and currently have my Provider/Personal Support Worker numbers through DHS and CDDP/CCMH for Developmental Disabilities.

I am a caring, loving, compassionate person. I am the mother of 5 children and with my youngest child in high school I am ready to use my nurturing skills to benefit the lives of others. My interests include gardening, painting, taking walks and enjoying the beauty in nature. I enjoy visiting with the elderly and love listening to their stories of life. Hello my name is Karla, I have been a caregiver since 1998. Besides caregiving I also have a love for animals, dogs, cats, horses, etc. I live on a small farm in Vader. I knew I wanted to be a caregiver when I was 16, my grandfather moved in with us and we hired hospice to help us care for him. I was in awe of the help we recieved from these wonderful ladies. I worked in a hospital for 20 years. I started out in housekeeping then went to school to recieve my Certified Nurses Aide certificate for Washington state. I have worked in many aspects for the hospital from babies to hospice, emergency room to recovery. I choose to do in home health care when I moved to Vader. I enjoy in home caregiving because I get to meet very interesting clients and families. I enjoy the slower pace of caring for a client one on one. From bathing, playing games, Dr appointments, cooking and cleaning their homes. I am happy to do what it takes to keep your family member safe and happy in their home environment.

Provide assistance to help people recover from short term obstacles, and also to provide options for our elderly population to stay at home versus a facility, I feel people can heal quickly or maintain a very nice life when able to be in the comforts of their home.
