Am compassionate, caring, honest caregiver who enjoy helping other people in the society. What attracted me to be a caregiver was that; My father suffered spinal injuries after a road accident, so i worked along with my mother in helping him recuperate. The joy i saw in his eyes every time I helped him made me realize this was something i was meant to be doing for the rest of my life. I love making a difference in peoples lives. Each thank you and smile motivates me to continue doing what i do best; helping others have a fulfilling life. Am proud that through my help other people can have a smile.
I first realized my calling was to be in healthcare after my daughter was born and diagnosed w a rare genetic disorder. Going through many healthcare providers and tests was a nightmare- then we stumbled across 1 who changed everything and was an emence blessing. That's when I decided I wanted to be that ray of light for someone. So I went to school to become a medical assistant but the long hours required werent allowing me to be a mom to my young "special needs" child. I have been my daughters caregiver and she is now 12 and in middle school with a "one on one" aide w her at school. The last 3 years I have helped my grandpa cook, clean, bath, transportation and kept a calendar for him w reminders of what he needs to do. Since my grandma passed he has needed more help. He now has a live in aide and I still visit but he doesn't need me as he did before.
