I start taking care of my grandfather in a young age who was a diabetic until he passed away. So I grew up caring of elders. Born and raised in Johannesburg South Africa. Graduated my BS Biology (premed) in 2021 from Southern Utah University. I have been caregiving for about 3 years. Caregiving has been a rewarding experience because I get to know clients while making a positive impact in their lives . I am a Navy Veteran. I received the Purple Heart for my efforts in Afghanistan. I've also received multiple Navy medals and achievements while serving in Iraq, Kuwait and here in the states. My husband is still in the Navy. He is a Submarine IDC (Independent Duty Corpsman) and he makes me proud everyday. Working at adult family home you have to be patient and re-approach be gentle and kind also the assistant living it's the same thing you just got a re-approach them be gentle be patient as I always say is the little things that counts and matters I'm not perfect everyone to make mistakes but I try my best to learn from them and you're never too old to learn more I remember I was at work one One of my patient was laying down and they have a visitor and I was trying to feed him something he turned to me and said I appreciate this so much because he was not taking anything before and look he is taking a few bites that made me feel so good so I feel like I'm doing something.

I am a Certified Nurse Assistant with 8 years experience working in different healthcare facilities. My CPR and First aid cards are current and l have a valid TB test results which is negative. I love being a caregiver because l love being in a helping profession. I cared for my grandmother and it was a joy to have been able to care for her. I also have an associate degree in Business Management. So l can manage resources well. I am social, a good listener, soft spoken and patient. My hobbies are reading, swimming and watching movies.

I'm Anita 27 years, South African, when I was there I worked as a caregiver for seniors from the ages of 48to 89 in large groups of 4 to 7 for a year where I assist residents with dementia and Alzheimer's diseases with daily living needs and I also worked as a private caregiver. My name is Veronica,I have been a care gave for over fifteen years,I came from Kenya and in Kenya I was an Agricultural officer, working in a Research Station, doing research on new varieties of new seeds.Besides being an officer in a Research Station,I used to visit seniors in their homes,I loved to cook for them ,wash clothes give them company and also give them my own food,which made me very happy and I felt sense of fulfliment ,when I put a smile on their face.So when I came to this country,I found that there are seniors as well,I felt this was my define calling.and I went for it,I enjoy alot when I make a difference in someone's life,I.like to work and help those who cannot be able to help themselves any more,I do this work in great love and compassion and a touch of faith.
