Some of the tasks I offer are: Medication reminders Bathing/ Showering Light house Cleaning/ organizing Cooking Transportation to and from doctors appointments. My name is Thess Manuel, single mom 48 yrs.old originally from Philippines. I am a family oriented, kind, thoughtful. I have a passion taking care of elders since i tooked care of my past grandmother had a diabetes & had been amputated her right leg. I have been volunteering feeding the elders in home for the aged. From that experience i have been inspired to help & make them feel better in some way. I love socializing with elders & i do instruct elders to do strong zumba co'z i am a license zumba instructor. Being a loving & kind with others & share laugthers. So far i haven't get my very best achievements 'till now. But i can say my achievements right now is being a good person & fear of God.

I chose to be a caregiver because I like the elderly and I want to be a blessing to them. I like to help them because they appreciate and I always do what I am supposed to according to the doctor or the family. I am happy when they are contented with me and happy and I serve them according to their needs. I am a retired teacher. I have been giving care to seniors for seven years. I am a grandmother. I like keeping time and all my appointments. I am a CNA and I have also done a companion course through CARE FOR SENIORS of Wake County.

I love making a difference in individuals life. I enjoy working with individuals of a geriatric age because they are full of wisdom. As a nurse I fill a fulfilment when I see someone achieve they goals for daily living

What makes me a great caregiver is my complete honesty, integrity, punctuality, dependability, friendliness, and over all very responsible. What made me become a caregiver after being in the driving industry for over 20yrs? Taking care of my Mother for 7 months who had diabeties, was in a wheelchair from limb death, early stage dementia and heart disease. What do I like about caregiving? Knowing I can give excellent one on one care for someone in there home and make there last years so much better than if they had to leave all that is familiar to them. Personal achievements I'm proud of: 1) CNA License with Nurse Delegation, CPR-First Aide, HIV & Aides, Mental Health, and Dementia Certificates. 2) CDL Class A Driving License with all Endorsements. Keeping a clean driving record. 3) NEVER being in trouble with the law, drank, smoke or did drugs. NOTE* My hourly rate is $25/hr daytime & I charge $12.50/hr for night time on a 24hr shift, and any major Holiday is time and a half. You might think it's more then others charge, but the saying is usually true, "you get what you pay for"!
