Single mom of a teenager Started caregiving 6 years ago The people I have met has made me a stronger person and I love what I do, love the variety of people I have met , but in this job you have to be very patient and know how to deal with a lot of challenges and behaviors, are jobs aren't easy and you have to deal with stressful situations and know how to deal with them , every year we have to take are annual Training and refresher courses, my main specialty is Dementia and Alzheimer's disease, but that's why I love my job to help people and sometimes they need to someone to talk too, or just a shoulder to cry on, being a single parent makes me stronger in doing my job and know I have someone to live for and help older clients in there daily lives and endeavors.

I'm a hard worker never complaint. I enjoy to be a caregiver I'm very open mind honest I love make smile and joy on people life. I'm very proud to be a caretaker.

What makes me a good home care aide is my dedication to what I do. I give my best to serve / help my client in any way I can. I became a home care aide because I want to work with and help seniors. I believe that taking care of them is like taking care of my own mother. Aside from having the chance to serve / help seniors, what I like about being a home care aide is its flexible work schedule. Seeing my client satisfied and happy with what I do for him / her is a personal achievement I am proud of.

A great caregiver goes above and beyond unknowingly , its second nature for them to give it their best at everything, .....all the time......from their dress code to how they talk and the small stuff washing dishes and sweeping , its all done with respect and integrity. This is me and how I live every day ,it comes off easy when I work because its a learned way of living. Years ago I was working in a facility with 24 people to care for and I couldn't give the proper care , unable to stretch my self as far as the needs went so I made a decision to do it on my own, so I could work in the homes and give quality care 1 person at a time.
