Years ago I was working in a facility with 24 people to care for and I couldn't give the proper care , unable to stretch my self as far as the needs went so I made a decision to do it on my own, so I could work in the homes and give quality care 1 person at a time. The best part of assisting others is the joy of relief we bring to their lives, its more than a paycheck could ever offer, being able to comfort, gain trust, and to be apart of their day and adding a joke or a smile is an experience all should feel at some point in life. I am currently attending the University of Wisconsin Parkside for my nursing prerequisites. I will begin my nursing classes in January and will graduate with my Bachelor's degree in December 2017. I have been a CNA for eight years and have experience in many areas. I have worked in a hospital setting, nursing home, assisted living, home health and orthopedic rehabilitation. I enjoy helping people who have difficulty helping themselves, it gives me a sense of accomplishment and pride. I plan on furthering my nursing experience by enrolling in a Nurse Practitioner program after working as a Registered Nurse.
