Hello! I'm Kaitlyn, from Winchester, VA. I am a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA). I have 5+ years working as a CNA. I received my BA from Virginia Commonwealth University and I am currently working on my masters at Mary Baldwin University. I work a full-time at home job and am looking to pick up a few hours working as a CNA. I enjoy working as a CNA because I love getting to know people and their stories, assisting those who may have no one else to depend on, and providing genuine support. I'm a very caring person I tend to put peoples needs before my own a lot I grew up with a aunt who was wheel chair bound and I've always admired my grandmother for taking care of her and always made me want to care for those who can't care for them self . It's a bitter sweet moment working in health care being the one these people see in their ending days it's an amazing feeling but being there and watching the transition is kind of hard but it's worth it knowing they had someone by their side the whole time while family members have to continue to work and maintain life a personal achievement would be juggling being a single mom and a caregiver never allowing the two to effect EACHOTHER .. and keeping a loving caring heart with the world we live in today

I am a seasoned CNA. 28+ Years working with the geriatric community. I enjoy the companionship and being able to assist and learn. I am married with a 2 yr old cat who keeps me busy. I enjoy animals and getting to know my clients and families. I am new to the Martinsburg area and am interested in working about 32 to 36 hrs a week.

I have over 5 years experience in the care giving industry.  I have knowledge in mental healthcare such as Alzheimer’s and Dementia care, Autism care, physically disabled and many more I am hard working and trust-worthy and applied efficiency in all manner of difficult situations, and I am a spirited team worker, reliable and dependable. I have goood communication skills. My objective is to contribute towards the wellbeing of my clients in a good team environment, and to ensure joy and happiness to the families under my care. I love being around the elderly people and giving them the care they deserve as they were once the ones that cared and built the community that I live in and am enjoying it freedom. Knowing I shell one day be in that position and would one day need the same help. I love seeking advice from them as they have been through things that I haven't. I feel horned when I have been able to help in a positive way to being joy or peace in someone's life.

I have been a cna since 1998 . I love taking care of people and making them smile. I've worked in hospitals, long term care facilities and in home care.

I have been in the in- home care field for 15 years . I am a patient and understanding person who likes to learn something new everyday . My compassion for our elderly is genuine . I love just being around elder people and helping them do the things they like to do or can no longer do for themselves . I've learned so much from them . My goal is to take them to the highest level of care possible and to have them feel safe in my care .

I became a caregiver because I wanted to make my father proud. My father passed away in 2010, from poor circulation in the legs. He died from a heart attack. My father lived with kidney failure, diabetes, high blood pressure, glaucoma, cataracts... you name it, he had it . I cared for him since I was 14 , up until he passed. I miss him dearly and want to offer my help to others in need.

I became a care giver because my true passion is helping people and taking care of people. Its a career I have always dreamed of having and an opportunity presented itself enabling me to pursue the education to achieve that goal. I went to Valley College and obtained my CNA license in the state of W.V. I have been working in a nursing home since September 2014. I am a patient, kind, caring and compassionate person.

I became a caregiver because of my Step-Mother. From a very early age, I was tasked with taking care of her as she became bedridden from many diseases. She is afflicted with chronic migraines, fibromyalgia, herniated/ruptured disks, obesity (450lbs. or more), and a litany of other non-communicable diseases. As time went on I found myself enjoying taking care of her and it gave my life a sense of belonging and direction. As a CNA now, I find that serving others still gives me that same sense of direction I experienced in my youth, but I feel strongly now that I'm older that if everyone were like me, and spent their lives in service of others, there would be no person on Earth who felt lonely, neglected, or not cared for. I do have quite a bit of college education even though I hold no degree, but if I were to speak of an achievement that meant the most to me, it would be my Eagle Scout award. Becoming an Eagle Scout took many long hours as a child, and most of that time was spent volunteering and serving the community. The most important thing scouting taught me was that a person did not need a reason or a reward for helping others, but that the act of self-sacrifice held its own rewards. I love to meet new people, and I enjoy making others smile.
