I have been working as a CNA for over 10 years what do you enjoy most about being a caregiver is being able to help out any way possible and being able to put a smile on their faces even after all this covid stuff happen and clients not being able to see their family like before so we as caregiver gives end up becoming part of their family as well.

Seeing someone with an intellectual disability able to lead a happy, safe and fulfilling life is enough to make it all worthwhile. In essence, it's about making small changes to your everyday life to make major beneficial changes to someone with an intellectual disability. Seeing them respond to their new environment - and the care and love that shapes it - provokes a feeling that must be experienced to be believed. And there's simply no reward quite like watching the smile emerge and hearing their laughter. I've being a caregiver for more then 10 years now. I used to volunteer for nursing home and other activity when I was in the age of 19 so that's how i was encouraged to become a caregiver. I love to socialize,read, swim,meet new people and play sports.

I've always enjoyed helping others, and making a change in someone's life rather it was to make them smile or a kind word to make there day. I'm a people person I enjoy being around people helping them with whatever it may be. I'm out going, easy to get along with, love to smile, like to keep things postive.

I became a caregiver to improve the quality of life of the person I am assigned to. I really enjoy cooking, baking, being around people, taking them for walks, shopping, etc. Having a medical background helps me alot to deal with pressure/diabetic ulcers, dressings, catheters care and so on. Every client of mine receives individualized care based on their needs and I am ready to put my energy and efforts towards someone's brighter life
