I'm Taijah, I have a passion for helping those that needs to be help. I'm attracted to caregiving because I love helping others and I enjoy my time with the elderly. I enjoy helping and learning from the elderly the most. A personal achievement I am proud of is getting back in school.

Working with people in a home care setting, it is essential that a caregiver feel the desire to want to help. mostly enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoy taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way.

I have 18 yrs experience as a caregiver for elderly, disabled individuals. I have a history of being a CNA, Rehab assistant, and a sitter. I enjoy being able to aid these individuals maintain their quality of life, whether it means helping with showers, meals, household chores or running errands, among other services.

It's my passion to assist individuals who need help with daily activities. I have been helping family members and close family friends for a long time. Helping others became important to me early on in life. Helping individuals reach and surpass goals is truly meaningful to me. One personal achievement that I'm most proud of is, recognizing the signs and symptoms of a stroke in a person. By the time we got to the emergency room, she seemed ok. They were considering sending her home, but I knew something wasn't right. I advocated for her, and they kept her. We received a phone call one hour later saying that she was being life flighted. She was in grave condition, and they didn't expect her to make it. The doctor said that had she went home and went to sleep, he was sure she would have passed. I cherished the training, and the knowledge to calmly, yet efficiently do my job, it saved her life.
