Being a caregiver is more than going to sit with a resident to me I wanna make sure my residents are happy , comfortable and feel safe with me in their home . I wanna do what's asked of me and make sure my resident are well taken care of and I meet there needs every day . I'm currently in college to become a CNA and so with working with residents will make things a little bit more challenging for me to make sure I'm doing my best and giving a full 100% at all times . I enjoy being a caregiver because I get to make people happy and I get to know the person. I have always grown up in the Healthcare field. My father is a doctor and my mother a palliative care nurse. I knew from an early age that nursing was something I wanted to pursue. I enjoy helping people who maybe can't help themselves. One of my favorite parts of being a care giver is the close interactions that I have with people. I think it is very important to communicate and show compassion for your clients.

I'm a single mother of three boys. My oldest son has septo optic dysplasia and autism. He is special needs and is the light of my life. My other two sons are very young and active! I was married to my late husband for about 4 years and then a few months after we got married he was developing signs of an illness and after months of traveling back and forth to Little Rock, Arkansas he was finally diagnosed with ALS. Shortly after his body didn't take long to start shutting down slowly and painfully. We struggled with this awful disease all the way up until his death on March 9, 2021. While dealing with this hard situation it has taught me a lot about compassion and how it is important to show love and care for individuals who are dealing with a unfortunate life ahead of them. Not just those in need but everyone who we come in contact with in our everyday lives.
