I started being a caregiver when I was 19 years old my grandmother had a stroke and I took care of her. I have a daughter that needed a liver transplant at 5 month old. Unfortunately she got cancer at three years old from the inner rejection medicine . My husband got cancer about 12 years agoI taking care of him. Worked in a memory care facility. I have my food handling card CPR card and first aide. I'm certified in dementia and Alzheimer's .

I feel so much compassion for others that need some help but still want to be as independent as possible. I have integrity and honesty. I am willing to listen and be emphatic. I fell into being a caregiver when my first husband had a traumic brain injury and found that most spouses leave when this happens, from that time on I became a voice for the TBI persons. My 2nd husband became ill with lung cancer and back to the caregiver mode again. We were able to keep him alive for 3 and 1/2 years with stage 4 cancer because I was his advocate and medical Representative for those years. My most personal achievement came when I was working with disabled persons and was able to learn to communicate with a non verbal down syndrome lady and taught her family to do so also. I have a active finger print card, and CPR card.

Helping and working with children with disabilities. Having a someone to take care of and having to be able to provide help with someone with disabilities.

I am currently a student at Pima community college pursuing my RN degree. I left a position as a corporate executive to pursue a more satisfying career that would allow me to utilize my knowledge and abilities to care for others. Knowing it will take a few years to get my degree, I chose to become a Certified Nursing Assistant so I can start to help those who are in need of care now.

I grew up in a home where I saw my mother take care of my Dad for over 20 years. I saw the compassion that she had while my fathers health declined over the years. I enjoy helping my clients with their ADL's and getting to know them. My goal is to help my clients stay in their homes as long as possible

My name is Amanda I am 19 years old. I enjoy being a CNA because no matter the person and situation they have a story. I enjoy getting to know my residents one on one in order to create the best experience for us both. I chose to go into home care so I could spend time with the individual person and not be rushing between rooms. I look at my residents as though they are family. I hold my self to the highest standard of care and will go the extra mile in caring for each individual resident.

I believe that I'm a great caregiver because I'm a very patient, easy going person. I'm on time and will always give updates . I wanted to be a caregiver because I want to end up becoming a registered nurse and I believe that this is a step in the right direction. I enjoy creating new bonds and helping others. I am very much into caregiving because when my grandma was still alive and sick , all her kids are busy with work and seldom give their attention to my grandparents , so that's how my inclination starts and it has been my desire to care for people who needs to be cared for. I enjoyed caregiving especially when I can see and feel that my clients are ok, they feel better and happy knowing somebody cares for them ( even when we're not related by blood) and want them to be well and enjoy life to the fullest . I feel proud and happy when I heated my clients would have their feedback about me , and the most satisfying and gratifying is when I only have 2 days to work with them , but once they see me how I worked and care for them , they would asked my employer If I could work with Monday to Sunday in everyday basis . Isn't it gratifying ? In my humble self I thanked God that I am able to be a part of them not only as caregiver but as a family member . This are things money can't buy.
