I have experience in several realms: assisting in care for my grandma for several years before she passed, working with high school special needs students, as well as being previously certified as a CNA, and later on EMT. I made a career change to IT, so I didn't maintain my certs, but I still have a deep passion and yearning to help and serve others. I appreciate being able to make a difference in someone's life by giving care and companionship. Whether it be simply with my presence for conversation, or for assistance with daily tasks in the home, to assistance with self care. Hello, I'm Nicole and I was raised In Germany and Denmark before moving to the USA with my mom in ...well a long time ago. Growing up in a diverse social service worker household, where my Summers and all my school breaks were spent in camps and day cares with kids/adults with special needs, I never considered a career in anything BUT taking care of others. I remember my Great grandma going through the stages of Alzheimers and not fully understanding this, but feeling that she needed lots of love. While so many people are unhappy about their employment I feel blessed to have mine. I'm happy to say that I love doing what I do and I get to do it 24/7It is not a job to me it is my life, my history and my future. I am a highly energetic woman and I love to bring joy to others. At the same time, I'm patient and compassionate and I respect that everyone's situation is unique and needs to be treated as such. I spent nearly 20 years in case management and I came to realize how much I missed Direct Care, especially after taking care of my daughter. One of my favorite sayings is " It is an honor to take care of the ones that once took care of us' I have many many years of experience in a very diverse Social Service background and I don't shy away from any responsibilities. Hi! My name is Stephanie! I am currently a Urgent Care/ER technician and work 3-4 days a week, 12 hour shits. I am interested in caregiving on some of my days off as I used to take care of a sweet older couple who lived down the road from me. They have recently passed on but it brought out my passion for caregiving and helping people when I can! I am also a CNA but I did a lot of that in my 20's and am now interested in the lighter side of those duties, light lifting, daily living activities, helping around the house, and offering company!!
