I feel that my 15 plus years of working as a CNA in the health care field and my compassion helps me with people that are looking for someone to care for their loved ones. I have worked in numerous nursing homes, hospitals, locked psych facility, and in locked memory care units. I have my BSN but haven't been able to pass my boards. I am a very compassionate person, I love being able to spend time with the ones I take care of, I treat the ones I am caring for as they are one of my family members. Ever since I was little I wanted to be a nurse to help care for others. I volunteered as a candy striper when I was in high school. I really enjoy getting to the people I care for and getting to do things with them that they like to do. I like listening to stories they have from their younger days.

I moved to Iowa in 1991 and I always wanted to help people my mom told me about being a nurses aide so I applied took my cna training and like 5 years later i took my medication course and i also took classes to do rehab, im the type of person that tries my best to help my patient be happy and well taken care of. i worked 27 years in a nursing home, Im no longer there.I would love to do in home health care. Im proud i stayed at my one and only job in my life and im proud i was loved by my residents and their families thats the best feeling when your appreciated for great care of the patient
