I love being a caregiver due to making the day easier on a family member or a client. I love to help & get to know new people.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I actually enjoy taken care of my clients. Being about able to help with their daily activities and self care is very important to me. What I really enjoy about being a caregiver is seeing my clients smile after I help them is what enjoy the most.

Well I been taking care of my mom or auntie for many years just to help around I would cook clean and remind them when it time to take their medications. However this made me think about being a home caregiver. Even tho I only help my mom and auntie out I enjoy every minute of helping them out I enjoy being around older people. Overall the caregiver job being so much joy to my heart people I always love help someone out no matter the age I love see their different personalities it being joy and you learn a lot to while working with different people. One thing I am proud of that I have achieved the fact that I was a little bit younger when i started help my mom and aunt out but when I got to know what they go through out the daily i just watch closely and learn quickly and just kept either my mom or auntie or track with their daily lives.

I became a certified nurses assistant in 1987 through state of Indiana. I continued for 23 years. I wanted this type of job since junior high. I love this type of work to see smiles and make tasks easier for those who have a hard time. I too may be there soon. I have done hospice experience for a year and caregiver work around 6 years.

Hello my name is Leslie. I have been a caregiver for 8 years, I started my journey with group home care with the mental disabled. Two years later I started elderly home care, making sure the elderly get a chance to stay in their own homes where they are comfortable is my pleasure. Taking care of the elderly is something I truly enjoy, letting them know they are not alone one day at a time. I can provide many different types of care, depending on the individuals needs. In 2016 I started my own LLC with the hopes of being able to provide more help to families by caring for their elderly family members. I have cared for indivduals in a wide age range and with many different funtion ability levels. No person is the same, I make a care plan to fit the indivduals needs. I like too keep the family as informed as I can about any changed I may see with thier loved one. I am elderly CPR / First aid and AED certified.

I am a recent Bachelors of Science in Health Science graduate working towards pursuing a future career as a Physician Assistant. I have 2 years of patient care experience working with patients in various specialities and settings (e.g., Progressive Critical Cardiovascular, Emergency Department, Orthopedic). I wanted to go into caregiving to gain experience in a different manner outside hospital/clinic settings, taking care of individuals in the comfort of their home and safe space.
