I have been in healthcare for awhile now. I've worked with dementia patients, hospice patients, and most diseases or disabilities you can think of. I enjoy helping others in a variety of capacities. I have worked for a handful of individuals who have had SCI's and am constantly amazed by their determination and their ability to continue on with life. I feel that I am constantly learning and would love to pass on my knowledge to others. I feel that my job isn't "cookie cutter", it is truly about making the life of my client easier in whatever way possible. No task is too small if it is what needs to be done. My parents taught me two things that I try to incorporate into every job that I have. One to leave things better than you found it, and to do what needs to be done, before you are asked to do it. I am very good with details, and while it may take me a day or two to learn a new schedule or program, I know that I will be doing it the way that you want it done. With my experience with SCI, people don't have a lot of control over their own lives, and I make it my first priority to give as much of it back to you as I can.
