Hi there! My names Sarah Simon, and I'm 56, married to my wonderful husband Ron, and we have two children, Chris and Dustin. I spent the majority of my career working in the accounting field. In 2013 my eldest son was needing to undergo a double lung and liver transplant, so Chris and myself were forced to move to St. Louis to be within range of the hospital. A year and a half later, and after my son's transplant being a success, we were able to move back home to Garden Plain. Once home and looking for new jobs, I decided that it was time to find something new. I wanted to find a job where I could make a difference in the life of someone else rather than punching numbers into a calculator. I decided that the perfect job for me to do was to become a home care-giver. It allows me to help others who may not be able to help themselves, but my favorite facet of the job is simply the companionship that I can give to a patient, and also that I can find a new friend in all of my patients. The most special thing about my job is that I get to know the patients on a personal level just by being able to provide care and spending time with them.

I believe that people are a gift, I have an ability to bring the best out in people. I am able to listen and be able to tell my own stories to help people relate to me. I wanted to become a caregiver because my grandmother was in a nursing home and I saw how badly most people treated her and I wanted to be a person that others could count on. The biggest thing I enjoy about caregiving is the stories I learn, I love hearing about others lives and that even with the bad they still turned out good. My biggest achievement has to be, being a CNA at 16, and changing the lives of many people in doing so

My name Is Patience Harvey, but you can call me Jade I'm 21 years old i attended at Hutchinson Community College. Right now I don't know what I want to do in life so I am majoring in general studies. I am funny, outgoing, caring, and very respectful. I got my CNA license in high school. I undergraduate from Buhler High School in 2015. I have been a CNA/caregiver for 3 years, and I enjoy it very much. I started as being a CNA then making my way toward home health. I am an outgoing gal, very funny, and I seem to always find a way to make somebody loved one happy and with a smile at the end of the day. I am a great caregiver because I take the time to know each individual person I take care of. I treat all my people as if they are my mother or my family. I give them the card that I would want given to my them. I love the people I take care of. I enjoy seeing them smile and laugh. I enjoy seeing their talents and learning their knowledge. My greatest accomplishment is raising my 3 amazing kids on my own and going to school full time and working full time. My kids are my greatest accomplishment.
