Hello,
I began my caregiving experience in 2009 working at Alternative Opportunities, Inc. located in Springfield, MO as an in-home caregiver for mentally and physically handicapped adults. This included meal prep, observational bathing, light housework, medication administration, and charting/ documentation.
In 2010 I had the opportunity to provide hospice support for my great-grandmother in Ava, MO as she neared the end of her life. I primarily provided companionship and medication administration.
In 2012 I provided support as an observational sitter when my grandmother entered an induced coma for aneurysm care in a Las Vegas, NV hospital.
Throughout these experiences, I have learned how to provide care by being observant, respectful, diplomatic, confidential, and reliable.
