My mother Why?? She is my biggest fans who always admired and motivated me to believe myself I will become a great caregiver, and helping for those who really needs my help. Seen I work with my client Home , I always smile and asked them, Are you okay? It's like a big improvement to me to relieve there pain.but to see my client happy and healthy and smile. And I guarantee 100% do my best to make sure my clients families are trust me to take care there family member who they love so much..... I am honestly, loyalty, trust, love,an Care an always patient and honor my words an truthful.

I think the traits that make me a good candidate for caregiver are that I am empathetic to the client's situation, understanding that I am their to assist the client' in achieving their goals, and I'm an active listener and truly try to get a view of the entire situation going on. I have worked with many different populations with stronger emphases in mental health, developmental disabilities, and addiction and recovery. I have worked with clientele as young as 18 and as old as 90, so I am rather comfortable working with any age group.

As a caregiver I strive to make the individual feel and know that person is appreciated and important. I went into caregiving because it is our duty to help those that need assistance and wanted to help those that didn't readily have it at their disposal. It makes me feel good to help others and to see them shine when they are around someone that is loving and caring. A personal achievement I am proud of is being a motivator to an individual I cared for in exercise and actually doing the exercises with him; also staying with a client as a direct support until she passed away. Acknowledging the value in an individual is what I will always do.

I am a 39 year old mother of 4 wonderful children. I am a medication tech and CNA at an assisted living facility in the Kansas City metro. I love my residents and my job. Everyday i get to go to my job is defiently an honor to me. My residents make a difference in my life everyday.

I'm a people's person, I love helping people. I have excellent customers service skills and i'm versatile. I can adopt to any environment. What I enjoy most is putting a smile on people's faces, and doing what I can to make life a little easier for them.

What make me a caregiver is Patience. When you work with someone who needs home care it is important that you are patient and understanding. It helps to sometimes put myself in the other person's shoes and see what it might be like to ask people for help. Why did I become a caregiver? Is because I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. I love being a caregiver to help other people who really need it. I want to be able to care for them the way I want to be cared for if I should need the care some day. I love helping others in need. An achievement that I'm particularly proud of is how I developed my public speaking skills. I recognised that I needed to be more confident when speaking at team meetings so I could contribute to discussions of issues as well as put ideas clearly. I recognised I held fears about speaking up and if I was to deal with them I would have to commit to a program of personal development.

I love caring for the elderly! Elderly individuals have done so much for the younger generation, I feel the least I can do is try to make their days the best they can be. I enjoy the bond that I build with each of my patients and the families. I also enjoy learning the history of my patients, the trials and tribulations they have encountered throughout their life. I am proud that each of my patients are not just my patients, they become family and that I had the opportunity to make each and everyday of their lives the best they could be.
