Hello, My name is Marcia Taylor. Just a little update about myself. I'm 44 years old, I love being a caregiver. It makes me feel great when I can brighten their day, make them understand that they do matter and I'm always their to protect and take care of them. I have family that I take care and I have a caregiver for them as well. So I like to make sure I feel comfortable with them as well as they feel comfortable, trustworthy with me as well. I enjoy preparing meals, reminding them of their meds, taking them to run errands or I will do it if they don't feel like it. But more than anything, I would like them to feel safe with me, I'm their for their needs, and companionship as well. I love to talk and let them know just because I'm here to do these things, they still matter and can enjoy life as well. I'm a good listener, and I have patients. My clients are like family to me. I treat them with much respect as I would if it was my own family.

I am a quick learner. I love being around people and meeting new people. I like to see everyone smiling. I pride myself on not letting my feelings get the best of me.

I'm a good caregiver because I have patience and compassion. A good communicator and have a positive attitude being respectful goes a long way . It's about the patient feeling love warm and knowing that's they secured and I do my job the best to abilities. I love when tell they stories on what happens back in the days and still learn from them and gain knowledge. I'm proud to say that's is a honor I'm becoming someone caregiver to show I'm up for the challenge I'm sweet girl I do what I told and I do in a good manner .

Honestly, I've always had a giving personality and I like helping people. But I'd love to tell you a story, which really helped me make this decision. When my grandfather passed away, my grandmother was left alone. Plus, her arthritis was starting to worsen, and she began having more and more trouble preparing her meals, bathing, and getting her groceries. So we found her a caregiver and she was absolutely amazing! She stayed with my grandma for longer hours than expected, while telling stories about growing up in Europe. That was very soothing for my grandma, and that caregiver inspired me to join this field. I really try to get to know my patients. I ask a lot of questions. I ask about their feelings and if they're dealing with weighty emotions, like sadness, anger, or anxiety. I listen as much as possible and tell them they can talk to me about anything without worry. I try building trust, and it's a gradual process, but I do my best to get there.

I'm a great caregiver and has been for 16yrs. I enjoy taking care of people. I love being a great helper and caretaker. I have worked long term care and home healthcare and hospital setting.

I am a nurse at heart and love caring for those who are in need. I am returning to the work force even though I am always helping my family and friends. They know I will only give them good solid advice and instructions when it comes to their health and well-being.
