I became a care giver because I was an LPN and was injured on a job, and I still wanted to take care of people. My mother had Alzheimer's and I realized it was really hard finding dependable caregivers that really cared for patients. I give each patient my undivided attention and treat them like they are my mom or dad, and make them feel like they are the most important person in the world.

I take care of my elderly parents. My father is on peritoneal dialysis and is a diabetic. I hook his machine up and change his wound site and cook meals take to dr appointments give insulin shots and finger sticks. I also help bathe my mother and brush her hair and fix her meals as well

I believe the best caregivers become like family! I have a passion for caring for our elderly. Right out of High School I obtained by CNA license and immediately started working in geriatric care. I love being able to make a difference in the lives of the ones who shaped our world in so many ways. My favorite thing about this work is being able to learn from my clients. There is never a home I leave without taking some bit of new inspiration with me. I have worked with several different people and fully understand that everyone is different and they all have their specific ways of being cared for the best! My name is FaMeria McComb.. I Iive in Summit Ms... I'm 25 years old and I also I'm a Certified DSP (Direct support professional) / certified PCA ( Personal care attendant). I have been in this area of work for around 6 years but really all my life! I have a older sister that's 30 but has battled with a life times of illness! From being on Dialysis because of losing function in her kidneys at the age of 14, having a major stoke at the age of 24.! Stayed in the hospital over 4 months! Did I forget to mention she was born with scoliosis.! This has made me have a love of disable people.! Everyone needs love and support! Even though they have family ( wife mom sister dad etc.)sometimes family can be there not because they don't want to but they cant! But to know they are in good hands is a RELIEF! And I'm here to do just that be the good support.!
