I am a mother of three daughters . I have always been taking care of someone. When I was a teen I babysat and in my late teens I took care of my grandmother who was dying of cancer. I have done fill in work for my aunt who use to work as an in home aid caregiver. I have worked for two years in a chiropractic office working with older people. I enjoy being with people and learning from them and being able to help them to live their lives to the best of their abilities. That is what I love about care giving. It is not just a job but a way of connecting to other people and being able to help them and do it for a living. I am proud of being able to raise my daughters because I have been a single parent for the majority of their lives. I obtained my Associates degree while raising them and I am twenty four hours away from receiving my Bachelors degree in Christian Counseling and Caregiving and my daughters are my reason for continuing to get better as a person.

I just had recently moved here to North Carolina from Washington state moving here has had the better and change my life in many ways moving here I have experience with babysitting and helping others helping others has always been something that I'd love to do and here I have taken on great responsibility to do so I'd love to do it for a living and I love to help others. I'm glad to say that I graduated high school with excellent grades I went directly to school for Phlebotomy after graduation in 2020. Now I'm currently in college for Cosmetology I've been exceeding in all my classes finished my first semester with all A's 4.0 GPA. Going into my second semester and will be graduating in the summer with my bachelor's degree and will continue my education after.

I enjoy spending time with elderly them telling me stories and making me laugh and comfortable they make me feel ! I feel i am a good caregiver because I genuinely care and would never let anyone harm my patients . I am proud because I have stayed true to this and continue to be in the field

A personal achievement I'm proud of is; I was there for my father when he was sick and passing, took care of him while he was home in hospice. Another one is my Bachelors degree. I was blessed with caring for my dad, who had Alzheimer's, for 5 1/2 years until he passed with Hospice at home. I have worked in assisted living and memory care.
