I have worked with seniors since I was 9 years old volunteering at senior living care homes. I have always had a special place in my heart for elderly. As I became an adult I knew I wanted to keep working with them. I have worked with several families in Reno for the last 19 years. I am patient, kind, and will give them the dignity they deserve. I have experience helping with medication reminders and organization, bathing, meal prep, light housekeeping, running errands, and companionship.

8/25/25 I am available for home care , but looking for only 4 to 5 hours a week. I want to stay in the Carson City, Minden or Gardnerville area only. My passion is working with the elderly. I am honored by the families that put their trust in me to care for their loved one who may be on the final path of their life requiring Home Hospice care. or is at that point in their lives where assistance is needed in order to continue staying in their home, being as independent as possable, staying safe. My commitment for each and every person is to provide them with companionship, assistance with physical needs and whatever else they need, whether it's writing a letter for them, or baking their favorite cookies, straightening out closet shelves or holding their hand, reading a book to them or just sitting quietly with them. I believe it is ao important to pocess tthe traits that are important in caregiving which are flexibility, willingness to sit still when you notice its what the person you are caring for needs. Paying attention is very important. A caregiver cannot just "be there" I keep logs in order to ensure the Doctor and nurses and family are notified of ANY changes such as skin color, urine intake/out take, bathroom habits, signs of weakness, facial changes, depression/mood changes. If bedridden, log needs to include turning times, any skin breakdown issues, A good caregiver needs to go outside the box, be willing to do what otherwise might be uncomfortable, be drama free. Assisting the family is one of the things that helps them know who I am and relieves some of the stress from their lives. By helping doing even the smallest of details, yardwork, cleaning a garage etc. I promise you that I will make the same commitment to respect, never diminish their dignity and do all I can to provide the stability, comfort your loved one deservesI I did not become a Caregiver to change the dynamics of lives. but to be there to make them feel safe, healty and secure. Compassion goes a long long way.

I have been a caregiver for over 8 years, I worked for a Senior Care Center for a little while before moving to South Lake Tahoe in 1989, as a CNA, I had 2 daughters and put my career on hold to raise them. I worked in a medical office for 5 years prior to taking off 3 months to care for my terminally ill sister. It was then that I realized caring for others was my calling. I quit my corporate job and started my caregiving career. I have always had a special love for the elderly community. I have been working for Partners In Care in Grass Valley, working both in home health and at the assisted living facility Eskaton since the beginning of this year. I have worked as a babysitter and nanny, caring for children for several years. I am currently in my final year of a Physical Therapist Assistant program and will be beginning my internships this month. I have the skills necessary to transfer, ambulate with, and bathe seniors in a safe manner. I love being a caregiver it fits my personality to the max because one of my passions is to care for others. I care for my clients like I would like to be cared for and treated.
