I really enjoy helping people, and improving their quality of life. I've been working in healthcare since 1999, and feel I bring a wealth of experience to the job. I have a wonderful sense of humor (which I feel is a necessity) and I love to hear a client's story. I have had Systemic Lupus for several years, so I would prefer not to due a lot of heavy lifting. I would assess on a case by case basis.

I am very compassionate and empathetic. I have taken care of others for many years including family members suffering from dementia as well as other cognitive and physical disorders. I enjoy helping others obtain happiness and contentment while being able to live in a home setting. The best part of being a care giver is the personal reward. What makes me a great caregiver is my personality. I've been in the care giving field since I was 17. Even before that. I was helping my mom at her job since I was 7. My whole life I've grown to love the caregiving field.

I'm a single mother of two BEAUTIFUL girl. I started my career as a CNA for IRA DAVENPORT. I then changed paths when I found out I was pregnant for my oldest.. I went from physically helping people to helping them get out of debt. As much as I enjoyed that, I then moved back into the physical part working one on one with ARC of Steuben in two different houses. I worked late shifts an missed a lot of my kids while they were young. Due to not being able to get a permanent day shift, I then got into the mental health receptionist role where I can continue to work with people. I enjoy my job now, but would love to work hands on with people again.

Hi! I've been in the home heath field for approximately 16 years on and off. I started in the nursing field at age 15 as a CNA working in a nursing home. I also worked in a Personal Care Home for 6 years. I enjoy taking care of seniors and individuals with disabilities. I love being able to care for others and the rewarding feeling that comes within. The reason I chose to become a caregiver is because I have a family history of nurses, caregivers, and CNAs, and because I have always been drawn to caring for those who are no longer able to care for themselves independently. My mother has been a private home health care provider for over 15 years, I grew up being around and meeting her clients and their families.
