I am an LPN with 21yrs experience. I have enjoyed working with patients with Alzheimers and Dementia along with intellectual disabilities . I have supervisory experience overseeing Home health aids and have personally seen the struggles for patients and their families in finding good care for their loved ones and the challenges home health aids face. I also have Neurology office experience doing multiple roles as a Nurse and EEg tech and have for learned many strategies to work with patients with Alzheimers and Dementia . I have also had the pleasure of working with patients with Epilepsy, Parkinsons and MS. What makes me a great caregiver is that I pay attention to details. I do exactly what I'm told, asked and also give advice according to my expertise and I tell the truth about what is needed when it matters. I first started working with elders within my monastery taking care of their basic needs and taking them back and forth to doctor's appointments and following their doctors care of plan. That transmitted to my professional work life as a certified nursing aide, as I work in the nursing homes and also in private home settings. It brings me joy to see those who are in need of help receive the assistance that they need without taking away their dignity and also giving them the extra help that's necessary.... at the same time allowing them to do what they can for themselves. I have a broad range going from helping those with terminal illnesses all the way to those who just need extra assistance around the house. There is no job too big or too small for me to do.
