My grandparents were put in nursing homes when I was young and treated horrible , so I made the decision to provide care in people's homes so they can remain comfortable.. I love what I do

I am a very compassionate person who loves taking care of elderly. I started home health care right out of high school and I fell in love with it. I haven't done anything else since then and I am now 27! I enjoy creating a bond with my clients and assisting them with all their needs. It makes me feel good to know that I could help somebody else achieve daily tasks (and more) that would be impossible without help. I am a very patient, loving, dependable person. I am compassionate and understand another person's struggles. I am a mother of eight and have many years of experience with caring for others. As a young child I had a heart for babies and the elderly. At five years old I was so proud to walk my 80 year old grandfather around our neighborhood. Some people are takers and some are givers. I've always been a giver. If I see someone in need, I just naturally jump in with help. Helping others gives me a sense of peace. We all know life can be hard, so I like to make it easier for others any time I'm able to . We all have different qualities, and I believe caregiving is a gift. I'm so thankful for the opportunity of caring for my mother after she was diagnosed with lung cancer. I moved into her home, with my then 3 month old baby, to make sure my mom felt loved and cared for. I felt it was my way of honoring my mother and showing respect for all the years she cared for her children. Most people do not get to experience being with a parent when their life is over and I will always consider it an honor.
