I have been a Caregiver for both young and old for over twenty years, and now that I have earned my Certified Nurse Assistant certification from Hagerstown Community College, licensed with Maryland Board of Nursing as a CNA (license #: A00190777) and am soon to be registered with Maryland Board of Nursing as a Geriatric Nurse Assistant after having passed the state exam. I am a 20 year old mother of 2 babes ( I know, crazy!) I would prefer to work day shift but am open to anything. I have 3 almost 4 years experience in home care and I have my own vehicle, insurance, etc. I am really easy to get along with and I love people.

My passion is to help others and to give them the opportunity to live fuller lives. My husband is disabled so instead of this being a job to me it's my life. I'm prepared to do whatever needs to be done to make your love one feel comfortable. I became a caregiver because Iv always enjoyed helping others around me. So by becoming a caregiver I get enjoyment out of helping others and their families to lead fuller lives. Being a caregiver makes my heart full knowing that I'm making a difference in their lives. Seeing my patients smiling and enjoying life makes it all worth it. I take great pride in my work and love when I'm told by the family how much they appreciate what I do for their loved ones.

I am very compassionate about what I do. What attracted me the most to being a caregiver I'd have to say was living with my grandparents when I was younger and helping them everyday with things. The thing I enjoy the most about being a Caregiver is being able to just help and also knowing I'm making a difference in someones life, also just getting to know my clients and listening to there back stories is something I really enjoy. A personal achievement I am proud of is continuing my journey forward in the care field and going for my CNA.

Friendly caring

I was raised by my grandparents and help with their care as they got older. I helped to care for my grandmother who had dementia as a companion and later with pallative care. I was present and provided support and comfort to her thru her end of life amd assisted with her post mortem care. I have since worked both in home and nursing home settings providing care to those who primarily had dementia, providing pallative, hospice and post mortem care. I have had great success with calming clients who are combative or aggressive to preform nesscary ADLs. I also have experience with diabetic care and those who are on dialysis including ports. I am a very patient and compassionate person who loves to see someone enjoy a safe and comfortable life.
