My personality traits that help me to be a great caregiver is , I am attentive with my clients. I take my job serious but love my clients to be happy and to feel safe. My attraction for caregiving started as a lil girl, my father was a diabetic. I always told him I was going to take care of him and I did. I naturally love helping others. What I enjoy most about caregiving is ,it gives a fulfillment to help others who are in need . You never know how you will end up one day. Help ease other people stress. A personal achievement was being able to take care of family members and clients with respect and love .I loved making them comfortable and they knew they could depend on me while being taken care of properly.

My personality traits to help be a great caregiver is, Patience, People who need care often take longer to complete simple tasks. They may ask the same questions over and over. Good caregivers need patience to deal with anything from a loved one's memory lapses to angry outbursts. They practice staying calm and avoiding frustration. Compassion, Empathy and understanding are absolutely necessary. Even when caring for an abusive person, caregivers try to remain empathetic and understanding. Being Present, Good caregivers know the importance of respecting their loved one's current abilities. Rather than focusing on what their loved one can no longer do, a good caregiver tries be in the moment with them -- looking at photos, listening to music, cooking a favorite meal, remembering that they weren't always sick. Willing to assist, Always being able to be able to willing to help and assist the patient with anything they need! What attracted me to be a caregiver is, my grandmother and also, I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I love older adults and feel you can get along well with a variety of elders. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that being a caregiver provides a sense of pride and joy that most people don't experience in their day jobs. Everyone has the desire to feel that they're needed, and caregiving gives that feeling. At the end of the day, caregivers can look back and know they made a difference in people's lives.
