I am a great caregiver because I actually wanted to become a nurse because I was raised by my grandmother and I watched her be a caregiver to her parents and kids and also raise me as a daughter and I am her granddaughter. My great grandmother had multiple sclerosis when I was growing up as a young child and she lived next door to us. I used to go help my grandma take care of her till she got bedridden and passed. Both of my grandfathers also had Alzheimer's, dementia and Parkinson's I was also a full-time caregiver to one of them as a young adult. What I enjoy most about being a nurse and a caregiver is companionship. Everyone needs somebody especially the elderly it's very lonely when you get older and I love being a nurse/ caregiver to have my client feel that Most beautiful experience of Someone that actually cares.

I care a lot about the elderly. I first started out in this profession helping my father after my mother passed away. He was 75 and needed help with meals and cleaning the home, plus driving him to appointments. I also took care of my dad's sister, after her husband passed away. Helped with meals, took her to any appointments she had and helped with any cleaning around her home. She was 80 at the time and really needed my help. I've also taken care of friend's family members and also a girlfriend of my sisters who had surgery and needed someone with her for 3-4 days post op. It was a great experience doing that and feeling good about helping others. I enjoy the work that I do and look forward to meeting new clients and helping them with getting on with their daily lives. I am 54 years old. God gave me a gift to help elders, and I love that gift! I have been doing this all my life. I can't express enough how it makes me feel to go home knowing I made them smile, or laugh for that day. I think exercise is very important if they are capable, and Companionship, Honesty, and just having a heart that cares for people. I go above and beyond for my elders, and I will treat them as they were my very own.

Iam a people person who enjoys getting to know others and serving them. I've been doing this for 22 yrs and I believe this is my calling.

Just a single mom of two raising them on my own and trying to make ends mert! I like helping people, it makes you feel good, useful, like you're doing good work. I wanted to teach preschool, thats what I was taking classes for in school, but life had other plans, and so I started an in-home childcare business instead and I did that for over 20 years. Ive been a delivery driver for the last few years and last year I started working for Papa Pals as an in-home care companion. Ive always loved elderly people, and a few of my regulars from up north(in IL/WI- where I moved from) became kinda surrogate grannys for me, since I lost mine in 2012 & havent been the same since.

I am 20 years old attending college to become a nurse, I enjoy talking and doing activities with my patient , my biggest achievement was be able to take care of 6/7 people in one day even though it was not easy.
