The love I have for people whom can't help themselves what has help me to be a great caregiver from working in daycares to working in private homes with other love ones. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my family gave care for years I watched my mother work in nursing homes to private duty nursing as a little girl growing up to have a heart. What I enjoy the most about caregiving is seeing a smile on there face just to know a stranger can care so much. I achieved a heart for people. I achieve growth in the company I work for also I went from working in the homes to working in the office. I was so proud of myself

My personality traits that help me be an excellent caregiver are; empathy, attentiveness, sense of humor and supportive. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver was seeing how my mother took care of her mother when I was a little girl. Witnessing that instilled a desire in me to do the same for my own mother if and when she needs me in that way. My mother not only took care of my grandmother but she checked on the elderly, family or not, if someone needed help she was there and to this day presents the same urgency. I enjoy knowing that I am able to give someone relief and the assurance that they are safe and will be taken care of. A personal achievement that I am proud of is proving to myself that I am resilient when trials have been thrown my way.

Obtaining the knowledge in the medical field. The compassion I have for taking care of one. Being able to make a difference in a person's life that feels like they have no one or that they are alone the joy I see on their faces good and bad but the overall is knowing that someone is there. I have great compassion for others in some of the most vulnerable times of their lives when sometimes other family members cannot due to their own family and lives. I give those families comfort in knowing that I will do a good job taking care of their most precious loved ones. It was in nursing school that I knew being a caregiver to the elderly was my passion. I am a licensed practical nurse of three years. I have a great love for the elderly and very much enjoy their company. I currently have began a job change from home health to hospice. I am on call over the weekends starting 5pm Friday. I am looking for something more to do with available time. I have experience working with the elderly both as a caregiver before graduation and as an LPN. I am looking to provide companionship and help with daily activities on an as needed basis.
