I have been working as a care companion since 2008 and my job duties include but are not limited to: grooming, light cleaning, errands, accompanying clients to doctor appointments, cooking, medication reminder, exercise, and arts and crafts. What makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I have a big heart. I am willing to help others and care for them. Not only am I doing my job, but I create a bond with my clients, it is more than just a job. Being there to comfort them and hands-on when needed. What attracted me to being a caregiver is growing up I watched my grandfather need the help. I enjoyed being there for him to the point where he felt comfortable enough to be in the state he was in. The most exciting part of being a caregiver is creating that bond with my clients to the point where they want me to come back.
