I have worked in caregiving for a lot of years. I have worked in private home, nursing homes and hospitals. I took care of my own grandmother for two years. I like making sure the patient is happy when I leave.

I grew up in an extended family in the Philippines where we care for our elders as customary. I am very caring, responsible, hard working, careful & have a happy personality that my clients enjoyed. I used to teach school and good with kids but my passion is really for the elders. It is a very rewarding feeling at the end of the day when I know that I gave my very best to help to my client. I have been working overnights for over a year at a group home with patients with dementia, schizophrenia, autism and cerebral palsy. I enjoy talking with my patients and getting to know them as I care for their needs. I have had clients that were more difficult than others but I can see past those flaws and care for the human inside. Even if they are screaming and throwing things at you or defecated on the floor they are still a human being who needs help and compassion.

I became a caregiver in 2004 because I'd spent the last few years of my grandmother's life helping her while she suffered with dementia. I saw how important it was for them to have someone there to help them with the day to day when family couldn't be. Then after I got into the profession my love for helping others just grew. To see the joy it brings to the person to sometimes just have someone there for a companion. I've been working in child care since 2019 and intend to stay there but I've also began part time home health again since July 2021 and am so thankful that I did. In the last year I have 5 of the absolute most wonderful families that I love going to see, helping them makes my heart smile. One client even tells his wife, "I'm sure glad she's coming today because I miss her, she's a sweet little girl". I feel such a connection with my clients that to me, they aren't just clients, they are family?
