Hello! I love to go above and beyond the status quo to help people. I am kind hearted, caring, considerate, responsible and hard working. What inspired me to start caregiving was my great grandmother. She was a caregiver and I admired the way she would go above and beyond to help people reach their full protentional. I have more than 13 years of experience working (full time) with individuals with developmental disabilities. In group, private residential, community, and classroom settings. Also in transportation. I am an LPN with 21yrs experience. I have enjoyed working with patients with Alzheimers and Dementia along with intellectual disabilities . I have supervisory experience overseeing Home health aids and have personally seen the struggles for patients and their families in finding good care for their loved ones and the challenges home health aids face. I also have Neurology office experience doing multiple roles as a Nurse and EEg tech and have for learned many strategies to work with patients with Alzheimers and Dementia . I have also had the pleasure of working with patients with Epilepsy, Parkinsons and MS. I have been in the work field since I was 16yrs and my new career path is to be a private duty LPN caregiver where I can work with individuals and their families to make their lifes better with good care and compassion.

I chose to become a caregiver because I needed a job and I watched my mom do for 18yrs so thats part of the reason I became a caregiver. I've been a caregiver for 7yrs, the most rewarding part about this job is the relationships you develop with the clients you care for. The clients I've worked with over the years have taught me helped me to develop more patience, compassion and being more openminded. This feild of work is rewarding in so many ways besides making good money. I earned my CNA when I was 18 and my passion for helping others grew. I learned hands on and specialized in Alzheimer's care and dementia; furthered my nursing education to become a clinical medical technician and worked in a hospital setting, taking great pride and compassion for families and their loved ones. With that being said, a personal experience changed my direction, which led me to want to help families with their loved ones in the care and comfort of their own home. When your loved one falls ill it can become emotionally and physically draining, which is why I take great care in helping families and their loved ones.
