I having been a police for over 25 years, my career changed suddenly in 2018 after I lost my sister to cancer. I was away when she passed on and when I came back I was told that my sister's health detorriated so much and she had no caregiver to assist her even to get to hospital at times perhaps she would have atleast lived longer if there was someone to assist her. I was disappointed to know this and from that day on I decided to go out and care for those who need help so here I am and I always want to give the best I can.

I am very compassionate about this kind of work. I have 2 1/2 years of experience with working in a nursing home, assisted living home, and as a home care provider. My mother has been a caregiver for 20 years and so I guess it's in our genes to want to help people! I have a huge heart and I care about helping folks who need a little extra help or even just companionship. I enjoy building relationships with each of my clients. I think the most important part of this job is to listen and to be their support system and provide the best companionship as possible. I am proud that I have decided to choose caregiving as my career path because it's natural for me to want to care for folks. An achievement that I have done is I care for family who always requested me to come work for them because I am a quick learner and go the extra mile!

I am kind and extremely giving. I take care of everyone as if they were my own parents. I have taken care of my own quadriplegic son at home doing things I never thought I would be doing, but out of love I learned everything to take the best care of him that I could. I started caregiving after my son was shot because who could take better care of him than me. I decided to become an C.N.A, and took extra classes so that I could be prepared for anything, and enable him to be independent, and lead a full life. I am a caring, loving individual that loved my job & took it very serious & personal. I helped both husband & wife to get back to themselves when they got a cold or was just having a bad day. Out of the 8 & half years I worked their I only missed a total of 5days had to be very dependable it was only 1 other lady who worked there different shift relieved me to go home & I relieved her to go home until the granddaughter came to help us out. I don't have any kids I am available anytime, I would love to be a caregiver again I believe it's my calling just haven't had another opportunity to do so. I even worked on most holidays unless I scheduled to be off to be with family.
