I am a compassionate person who listens for someone that may feel like they don't have and need at the time. I try my best to be a good friend to my clients and make them feel understood, respected, I am a very approachable person who loves to listen and get to connect with the clients. I am a caregiver but I also become good friends with the clients who can be truly comfortable with me. Enjoyment of my job as a caregiver is to know that I can make a true positive impact that provides the client with a happy outcome that even the families of the client can see. I have achieved many things in my life that does not provide a certificate for. Having a family that cares and wants the best for me.

I started as a caregiver my first quarter of college. I had never been in the healthcare field and I must admit that when I did get hired as a caregiver, i thought to myself 'what am i getting into?' Like any other job i was nervous at first, i had never done this and would i be able to take care of another human? i didn't think i would make it a month! How wrong I was! Soon after starting, i began to realize this was more than just a paycheck, I went to work and came home feeling good because i could help people, make them laugh with my goofiness, take them out to see new places even if it was close to their home. The fact that i could encourage people to come out and enjoy life was an amazing feeling! And although i do not plan on doing this for the rest of my life, it is nice to feel that while i am doing it, i can help influence people to live happy and comfortable lives with my assistance.

I'm an easy going open minded type of person. Always trying to see the positive in a situation. I pride myself as to always being on time, if not early to a job. I am compassionate towards all living things. I enjoy hearing stories and listening to people reminisce , whether they be young or old. I have many years of experience in the healthcare field and enjoys new opportunities. My own personal achievement is my son. Raising him to be a strong, loving , responsible human being for his wife and future children

The reason I became a caregiver was because my dad was diagnosed with cancer and I wanted to help. He passed away before I could take care of him. I got a blessing working with a man for almost 3 years he wasn't just a client but a friend. I'm proud that he thought of me as family and that he didn't get to upset when I got bossy (that's a joke) But I like things clean, I like to help the client anyway I can. I enjoy going on outings that the client enjoys for ex the car show was fun.

I was 16 when I first was introduced into this field. My mom and sister were Caregivers and I said it's way to hard on me,I cried everytime she came home and said we lost someone. I guess at that age is when God was mending my heart for it. I had done other career paths, but this 1 was just close to my heart. It's like a love, hate kinda thing but do enjoy my time that's for sure. The people and the stories. It's honestly beautiful if you can take just some of the small things out of this job. Your in this person's life for a reason, make it as beautiful as possible. I've been a Caregiver off and on since 2010

I love what I do I've been a care giver for about 4 years I'm a very outgoing , compassionate person. What attracted me to being a caregiver would have to be that I just love being able to help people especially the elderly getting to know their story and making a difference in their lives even if it's just me making them smile giving them my full attention and being able to just brighten their day !
